How to make Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket

    Prep Time: 10 minutes .
Air Fry Time: 6-8 minutes .
    Servings: 24 .
How to Serve: With Homemade Ketchup, Homemade Barbecue Sauce, or Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dip
Notes: A liner for your air fryer is recommended. You will also need a knife to slice the dough .

    1. Dough. Lightly dust a clean workspace or cutting board and then unroll the dough. Separate the dough into triangles along the perforated lines and cut each triangle into three equal pieces so that each triangle becomes three narrow triangles.
    2. Roll. Place a sausage on the wide end of the first triangle and the roll the sausage, inside of the triangle, towards the point of the triangle. Repeat this process with the remaining dough triangles.
    3. Basket. Place the rolled up sausages into your air fryer basket, leaving about a half inch to an inch between each of them (depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to make this recipe in batches). Then use a pastry brush or similar item to brush your melted butter over each of the rolled up sausages. Lastly, sprinkle your seasonings on top of each rolled up sausage.
    4. Air Fry. Air fry your sausages at 325 degrees for four minutes. Carefully rotate the sausages and continue to air fry until the dough turns golden brown and the sausages have been cooked (about three to four minutes).

Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket

Tips for making the best air fried sausages in crescent rolls.

Little smokies cocktail sausages were used to make my pigs in a blanket. You could however use full sized sausages or hot dogs and slice them into smaller (about two inch) pieces. Flavored sausages, chicken sausage, or vegan sausage can also work. I would stick to pre-cooked sausages.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. It is a good idea to use a clean paper towel to remove any moisture from the sausages before wrapping them inside of the dough. Doing so can help the dough stick to the sausages better.
    2. When placed into your air fryer basket, the rolled up sausages should not touch one another as the dough will grow and the warm air needs to circulate in order to cook evenly.
    3. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to make this recipe in batches. Your second batch can be prepared while your first batch is air frying.
