How to make Crock Pot Beef Tips
Prep Time: 10 minutes .
Slow Cook Time: 5-6 hours on low .
Servings: 6 .

Notes: My beef tips were cooked in a large slow cooker .
- Beef. Make sure that your meat is cut into similar sized cubes and that it has been trimmed with extra fatty pieces removed. Then place the meat into your slow cooker. You can prep your slow cooker as desired before adding the meat (some folks like to use a liner or spray their slow cooker first).
- Season. Sprinkle the dry soup mix, minced garlic, along with any desired seasonings over the meat and give it a quick stir.
- Wet Ingredients. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and beef broth so that all of the meat is covered with the wet ingredients.
- Slow Cook. Slow cook the beef on low for four hours. Then remove ⅔ of a cup of the liquid and whisk or use a fork to mix in the cornstarch. Then pour the mixture back into slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Finish. Continue to cook the beef tips until tender and done (about five to six hours total).

Tips for making the best beef tips.
Stew meat was used to make my tips. however, chuck roast , bottom round roast, or top round roast can work in this recipe. Avoid leaner cuts like sirloin or tenderloin, as they can dry out.
More helpful tips for you.
- The beef tips should be covered while slow cooking to keep the moisture inside of the slow cooker. When the lid of off for a period of time the sauce get dried up. If yours get dry after four and a half hours of slow cooking you can stir in additional broth.
- Slow cookers can cook at different rates which is why this recipe can take anywhere from five to six or more hours to completely cook. Five to six hours is common.
- Your beef is done slow cooking when you are able to pull it apart or shred using two forks.
- Allow the tips to sit in the slow cooker (turned off or set to warm) for 15 minutes before serving so that they can absorb more of the liquid and flavors before serving.
How to store beef tips.
Once your beef tips have fully cooled they can be stored in an airtight container. When properly stored and refrigerated, cooked beef tips should keep for up to four days.
