Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Almonds
  • ½ cup Cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoon Seasonings. --such as all purpose chicken seasoning blend
  • 2 Eggs.
  • 4 Chicken Breasts --boneless and skinless chicken breasts.

Instructions

  • Chicken. Prepare your chicken breasts by removing any fat and then patting them down to remove any moisture. Also, preheat your air fryer to 385.
  • Almonds. If you have not done so, crush your almonds using a food processor, or similar method, so that the almonds are the size of crumbs.
  • Bowls. To make the dredging station you will need three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, use a whisk to combine together the cornstarch and seasonings. For the second bowl, your eggs (you can beat them in the bowl). The third bowl should have your crushed almonds.
  • Dredge. Start by dipping your first chicken breast into the bowl with the cornstarch and then into the bowl with the whisked eggs. Lastly dredge your chicken breasts through the bowl with the almond crumbs.
  • Basket. Place your coated chicken breasts into your air fryer basket. You can spray your chicken breasts with spray oil to help them get more crisp.
  • Air Fry. Air fry your chicken breasts for 10-12 minutes ( or until done on the inside-165 internal temperature) flipping them over after five minutes. Let your air fried chicken cool for a couple of minutes before serving as they may be hot.
