Instructions

  • Prepare. Prepare your ingredients as indicated. This include peeling, coring, and thinly slicing your apples. Also, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and prep your baking dish for non-stick.
  • Apples. Place your sliced apples into a large bowl.
  • Combine. In a medium bowl, use a whisk to combine together the lemon juice, melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Once combined, pour half of this mixture over the apples and toss the ingredients. Repeat this process with the remaining combined ingredients, tossing until the apple slices are all coated with the mixture.
  • Slurry. In a small bowl, combine together your cornstarch and water. Once combined, add this to the bowl with the other ingredients and toss once again.
  • Bake. Transfer the tossed ingredients to your prepared baking dish. Loosely cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then carefully remove the foil and continue to bake for another 20 minutes.
  • Serve. Let the ingredients cool for a few minutes at room temperature and the serve as desired.
