To caramelize your apples, on medium-high heat, melt 3 tablespoon of your butter in a medium saucepan. Use a whisk to blend in a¼ cup of your brown sugar, water, and apples and cook for about three minutes or until the sugar has melted into the other ingredients. Then turn the heat down to medium low and cook for another eight minutes, stirring or whisking to break up any lumps.
Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the spices.
Allow the mixture to cool for 20 minutes and then transfer it to a jar to cool (about an hour).
Make the pizza.
Preheat your air fryer to 380 and prep your pan well for nonstick (mine was dusted with cornmeal) . If you are using my dough recipe you will need to divide it into four sections. Other doughs can vary.
On a lightly dusted clean surface, roll out your dough to about a quarter inch thick and eight inches in diameter. Then transfer the dough to your prepared pan and press it into place.
Air fry the dough for four minutes.
While your dough is air frying, in a mixing bowl, mix together the caramelized apples with the remaining butter and brown sugar. Then evenly spread about a quarter of this mixture over your pre-cooked crust.
Air fry the apple pizza for another four to six minutes or until the topping begins to bubble.
Allow the pizza to cool while you make the frosting.
To make the frosting, combine together the ingredients in medium sized bowl.
Once the pizza has cooled you can drizzle or pipe the frosting over the pizza and serve.
Repeat the air frying process for the remaining dough and ingredients to make more pizzas.
