Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef - Browned and drained of any grease.
  • 3 tablespoon Taco Seasoning.
  • 10 oz Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies
  • 8 oz Tomato Sauce.
  • 1 cup Beef Broth.
  • 8 oz Elbow Macaroni Pasta - uncooked.
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese -Freshly shredded is preferred.
  • ½ cup Sour Cream.

Instructions

  • Brown. If you have not done so, brown your ground beef in a skillet (or the microwave), breaking up the ground beef as it cooks. Then drain off the excess grease from the browned beef.
  • Layer. Place the cooked ground beef into your slow cooker and layer (in this order) the taco seasoning, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth over it. Stir the ingredients to combine.
  • Slow Cook. Cover your slow cooker and slow cook the ingredients for Low Setting: four to six hours or High Setting: two to three hours.
  • Pasta About 15-20 minutes before serving stir in your uncooked pasta. This step should be done on 'high' as you will need to finish slow cooking on high.
  • Cheese. Once your pasta is done cooking, you can stir in the shredded cheese and optional sour cream and serve.
