Dough. You can skip this step if you are using premade dough. To make your own dough, combine together the warm water, yeast, and sugar in a large mixing bowl and then allow it to sit for five minutes to activate the yeast. Gently stir in your olive oil and then stir in two cups of the flour. Mix the ingredients until a ball begins to form (dough will still be slightly sticky). Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead into a smooth dough, adding up to ½ cup extra flour if needed. Cover the bowl with a damp tea towel and let it rise for 30-60 minutes.
Roll Out. Lightly sprinkle flour on a large piece of parchment paper and then roll out the dough into a large rectangle (about 10x14" or so).
Sauce. Use a spoon or brush to spread your sauce over the dough to about an inch from the edges of the dough. Then top the sauce with shredded cheese, pepperoni, or ingredients of your choice including seasonings.
Roll. Tightly roll up the dough from one of the wide ends to the other wide end.
Slice. Slice the rolled up dough in half (widthwise) and then continue to slice the halves in half until you have 12 rolls that are about an inch thick.
Air Fry. Preheat your air fryer to 350F. You can also prep the basket as desired. Place the rolls into the basket leaving space between them for the air to circulate. Air fry for eight minutes or until the cheese is melted and the dough dough appears to be cooked through.
Serve. Allow the pizza rolls to cool for a few minutes before consuming as they will probably be hot.
