Ingredients

  • 4 Potatoes. -Peeled or cleaned and then sliced into matchbook thin fries. Such as yukon gold.
  • tablespoon Olive Oil.
  • tablespoon Za’atar Spice Blend
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher Salt.
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper

Instructions

  • Prepare. Preheat your oven to 450°F. Also, prep a rimmed baking sheet for nonstick. Parchment paper, foil, or a baking mat can work in this recipe. If you have not done so, prepare your potatoes as indicated.
  • Combine. Place your cut fries into a large bowl. Drizzle half of the olive oil (about one and a quarter tablespoons) over the fries and then sprinkle a tablespoon of the Za'atar seasoning over the fries and toss the ingredients. Repeat this process using the remaining olive oil and seasonings (salt and pepper included).
  • Transfer. Transfer the combined ingredients to your prepared baking sheet. Evenly spread the ingredients out in your prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake. Bake the fries for 10 minutes. Carefully use a spatula or similar item to toss the fries so that the bottom sides of the fries are facing up. Continue to bake for 10-15 minutes or until the fries are golden brown and crisp to your liking.
  • Serve. Let the fries sit on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to serve. You can transfer the fries to a plate lined with a clean paper towel if you fries appear to be oily.
