Cuisine: Sheet Pan
Servings: 8

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 32 0z Tater Tots -Frozen
  • 1 lb Ground Beef -Lean
  • tablespoon Seasoning -Tex Mex
  • 2 cups Cheese -Shredded Mexican blend or cheddar.

Optional toppings include: guacamole, sour cream, jalapenos, cilantro, onion, pico de gallo, beans, etc.

Instructions

  • Prep. Prepare a rimmed baking sheet using parchment paper (easy clean up!). Preheat your oven to 425.
  • Bake the Tots. Place your frozen tater tots in an single layer on your prepared baking sheet. Then bake the tots for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, carefully flipping them over after 10 minutes.
  • Cook your meat. While your tots are baking in your oven you can prepare the meat. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook your ground beef as your normally would until fully browned (about eight to 10 minutes). Drain the grease from the pan and then stir in your seasonings. Cook for another three minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Top the Tots. When your tater tots are crispy, carefully take them out of the oven and place the pan on a safe work surface. Evenly distribute your cooked meat over the tots and then sprinkle the cheese over the meat. Return the sheet pan to your oven and continue to bake until the cheese is bubbly and melted (three to five minutes).
  • Finish making your Totchos. Add your remaining ingredients to your totchos and serve.
