Prepare. If you have not done so, prepare the apples as indicated. Make sure that you apple pieces are of a similar size. Apples can be peeled or washed for this recipe.
Butter. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt your butter. Once the butter has melted you can add the sugar and cinnamon and cook until the sugar has dissolved stirring occasionally.
Apples. Once your sugar has dissolved you can stir in the apple pieces, making sure that all of the pieces are coated with the sugar mixture. Continue to cook, stirring regularly, until the apples are tender and the edges are turning brown (about 6-8 minutes).
Finish. Once your apple have softened and the liquid resembles a caramel consistency, you can use or serve your apples.
