11ozRefrigerated Pizza Dough- such as Pillsbury Pizza Crust Dough
½cupPizza Sauce
½cupParmesan Cheese- or mozzarella or similar cheese (grated or shredded), additional cheese as needed.
2tablespoonButter-melted
Toppings as desired. Can include pepperoni, cooked sausage, chopped vegetables.
Instructions
Start by lining the bottom of your slow cooker with parchment paper. You may need to press the parchment paper into the sides so that it conforms to the slow cooker walls.
Carefully roll out the pizza dough over the slow cooker and then lay it flat in the center of the cooker on top of the parchment paper. Use a roller or your hands to press the dough in place with a thicker crust on the edges of the dough.
Next, use a pastry brush or similar item to brush the melted butter over the crust.
For the sauce, use a spoon to drop dollops of the sauce in the center of the dough. Then use the backside of the spoon to spread the sauce up to the edges where the crust is thicker.
Top your pizza with your desired toppings.
Slow cook your pizza on high heat for two to two and a half hours (or on low for four to five hours) or until the crust turns golden brown.
Carefully use the edges of the parchment paper to raise the pizza out of the slow cooker and transfer it to a flat surface for slicing into servings.
