Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Chicken Breast -boneless skinless.
  • 1 tablespoon Taco Seasoning - your choice.
  • 2 cups Salsa. - your choice.
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice

Optional Add-Ins - diced tomatoes (the canned stuff), corn, beans, chopped onion, or even peppers.

Instructions

  • Prepare your chicken by first using a clean paper towel to pat it dry. Then place the chicken into your slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle half of the taco seasoning on top of the chicken and then flip the chicken over and sprinkle the remaining seasoning over the unseasoned side.
  • Pour the salsa over the chicken and use a spoon to coat the chicken evenly with it. Then drizzle the lime juice over that.
  • Cover the slow cooker with the lid.
  • Cook your salsa chicken for four hours on high or eight hours on low or until it is shreddable.
  • Use two forks to shred the chicken.
  • Mix the ingredients so that the shredded chicken is even mixed into the sauce.
