Optional Add-Ins - diced tomatoes (the canned stuff), corn, beans, chopped onion, or even peppers.
Instructions
Prepare your chicken by first using a clean paper towel to pat it dry. Then place the chicken into your slow cooker.
Sprinkle half of the taco seasoning on top of the chicken and then flip the chicken over and sprinkle the remaining seasoning over the unseasoned side.
Pour the salsa over the chicken and use a spoon to coat the chicken evenly with it. Then drizzle the lime juice over that.
Cover the slow cooker with the lid.
Cook your salsa chicken for four hours on high or eight hours on low or until it is shreddable.
Use two forks to shred the chicken.
Mix the ingredients so that the shredded chicken is even mixed into the sauce.
