Prepare. If you have not done so cook your ground sausage until browned and drain off any excess fat. Also, prep your slow cooker well for nonstick.
Layer. Place half of your hash browns on the bottom of your slow cooker. Then cover that with half of the chopped onions and then half of the sausage. Repeat this process with the remaining ingredients.
Sauce. In a medium bowl, use a whisk to combine together the condensed soup, milk, and seasonings. Then pour this over the ingredients in your slow cooker.
Cheese. Evenly sprinkle your cheese over the ingredients in your slow cooker.
Slow Cook. Cover your slow cooker and slow cook your casserole for three to four hours on high or six to eight hours on low.
Serve. You can serve your casserole with additional cheese on top.
