Skinless and boneless chicken breasts were used to make my chicken. For even more flavor and moisture, you can use chicken thighs with bone and skin.

- Instead of using the Italian seasoning, try an overnight marinade made with Italian dressing instead.
- Cut down your cooking time by precooking your chicken or using rotisserie chicken.
- Toss in some potatoes, peas, carrots or other veggies to make a meal out of it. You may need to balance these out with additional moisture (broth).
- Add additional cheeses such as mozzarella or Pecorino Romano.
- Take your chicken up a notch my adding pepper flakes or hot sauce.
- Serve your chicken and pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, sliced olives, or roasted red peppers on top.

Cook Time : 4 to 6 hours .

- Prepare your crock pot or slow cooker for nonstick.
- Start by placing the chicken on the bottom of the pot.
- For the layers, over the chicken with the cheese, then the broth followed by the cheese, broth, melted butter, garlic, and then the seasoning.
- Cover the crock pot or slow cooker with the lid. Set it to cook on low heat for 4 to 6 hours, or until the chicken is no longer pink on the inside, cooked through and tender. (Cooking times may vary depending on your crock pot, so check for doneness at around 4 hours.)
- Once your chicken has fully cooked thorough you can shred it. Carefully, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the crock pot or slow cooker. Alternatively, you can dice the chicken.
- Stir the chicken in the sauce that is in the pot and then stir in your cooked pasta.
- Allow the pasta to soak up the sauce for an additional 15-20 minutes on the "warm" setting if available, stirring occasionally to ensure it's evenly coated.
