Ingredients needed to make chicken bombs.
This recipe is made with common ingredients that you may already have on hand.
- Chicken Your chicken should be already cooked and then shredded.
- Cream Cheese Use a full fat cream cheese for more moisture in your center filling. If your cream cheese is softened to room temperature it will be easier for you to blend it with the other ingredients.
- Garlic Use minced garlic.
- Cheese. You can use the cheese or combination of cheeses of your choice. The cheese should be shredded for better blending. I like cheddar or a colby-jack blend depending on how hot the sauce is.
- Seasonings. This is as desired. My bombs were made with a small amount of dill and topped with a bit of parsley.
- Butter The butter is used to brush on top of the dough. The butter should be melted.
- Biscuits. Refrigerator section biscuit dough, such as a jumbo sized 'Grands' work great in this recipe.

- 'Flaky' style dough tends to be more moist and is easier to eat when you are using your hands.
- Pizza dough or similar doughs can also be used to make a variation of this recipe.
- You can make smaller bite-sized bombs by first splitting the biscuit in half. Quarters may work but, will need a bit of work getting the filling to fit.
- Once the bombs have been filled with the chicken filling they will need to be pinched closed to make sure that the filling stays inside the dough while air frying.
- When you place the bombs into your air fryer, make sure that there is room between the bombs for the warm air to flow through. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to make this recipe in batches.
- The bombs will be hot in the center when they come out of the air fryer. Allow them to cool sufficiently before serving.
