Ingredients needed to make honey garlic air fryer salmon.
The ingredients are basic ingredients that you may already have on hand.
- Salmon. Fillets (six ounce) were used to make my salmon. I would not use more than eight ounce fillets as there may not be enough room for the air to circulate in the air fryer.
- Honey. Your choice of honey.
- Olive Oil. Used for the marinade.
- Soy Sauce. Low sodium soy sauce can be used.
- Garlic. The garlic should be minced. Garlic powder can be used instead but, the minced garlic is really better tasting.
- Ginger. Ground ginger is added for flavor.
- Optional- Sliced lemons for garnish. Also salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, or seasonings of your choice for your marinade.

- The salmon fillets can be marinated (a half hour) in your refrigerator ahead of time. This can help add flavor and more moisture to the cooked fillets.
- Air frying times can vary depending on the size of your fillets and your air fryer.
- Lining your air fryer basket with foil or using an air fryer safe pie plate is recommended. You can also spray the foil with nonstick.
- You can preheat your air fryer for a few minutes to get the air circulating before adding the salmon.
- Your salmon is done cooking when and the top appears to be caramelized, it can be easily flaked apart with a fork, and it has reached an internal temperature of 145. Over cooking the salmon will make it dry and not as enjoyable.
- If your salmon does not appear to be done cooking you can cook it for a few more minutes, keeping an eye on it as well.
