What you need to make chicken drumsticks in an air fryer.
- Drumsticks. Leave the skin on the drumsticks for moist and tender chicken.
- Lemon. Use freshly squeezed Lemon Juice and fresh Lemon Zest.
- Seasonings. Parsley, Salt, Pepper, and Thyme.
- Garlic. Minced.
- Olive Oil. Adds flavor, moisture, and helps the chicken skin get crisp.

How to make Lemon Garlic Chicken in an Air Fryer.
- Prep Time: 15 minutes .
- Air Fry Time: 20 minutes .
- Servings: 4 .
- How to Serve: Serve your chicken with Air Fryer Crispy Potato Wedges or an Air Fryer Baked Potato .
- Notes: Add marinating time to total recipe time.
- Marinate. Place your chicken into a large bowl, baking dish, or large zip top bag. In a medium bowl, use a whisk to combine together the Lemon juice, Lemon zest, Parsley, Garlic, Salt, Pepper, and Thyme. Pour half of the mixture over the chicken, toss the chicken, and then pour the remaining marinade on the chicken and toss again. Cover and refrigerate the chicken for as little as 30 minutes to overnight.
- Prepare. When you are ready to make your chicken, preheat the air fryer to 350f. You can give your basket a quick spray with oil.
- Chicken. Take the chicken out of the marinade and dispose of the marinade. Place the chicken into your air fryer, leaving space between the chicken for the air to circulate.
- Air Fry. Air fry the chicken for 16-18 minutes, flipping the chicken after eight minutes.
- Serve. Allow the drumsticks to cool for a few minutes and serve.

Tips for making the best air fryer chicken.
Use a paper towel or similar item to pat the chicken dry before coating it with the sauce and seasonings. Removing the moisture will help the sauce and seasonings stick as well as allow the chicken to get crisp.

- Leave room in the air fryer for the warm air to circulate. The chicken drumsticks should not overlap one another.
- After air frying the chicken allow it to rest for a few minutes before serving to allowing the juices to make the chicken more tender and flavorful.
- Your chicken is done cooking when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F before serving it.
