The ingredients used in this recipe are basic ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry.
- Onion. Your onion should be sliced, using the larger pieces for this recipe.
- Flour. Regular all purpose flour was used to make my rings.
- Seasonings. My rings were seasoned with paprika, garlic salt, and pepper.
- Cornstarch. Helps to get the rings crispy by helping the flour stick to the rings. You can omit this if desired.
- Egg Used to help the dry ingredients stick to the onion.
- Milk. Water or buttermilk can alternatively be used.
- Panko. While regular breadcrumbs can be used, Panko style coat the onion rings better and make for a crisper onion ring as a result.
