Here are some more helpful tips for you.
- To use precooked chicken, such as rotisserie chicken or canned chicken, simply skip the step for cooking the chicken and continue the recipe with the shredding step.
- Feel free to adjust the hot sauce used to your likings. You can even sub in a barbecue sauce instead.
- The cream cheese should be softened to room temperature so that it can better blend. Slicing it into cubes can also help.
- To thin out your dip you can stir in a small amount of water or beer.
- If you want to serve this at a gather such as a potluck or tailgate, you can transfer the dip to a slow cooker and set it on warm.
- You can make your dip even more interesting by adding ingredients such as canned corn, peppers, or use cooked ground beef instead of chicken.
