- Ribs. Pork ribs were used to make my ribs. The flap was left on the ribs because it helps to keep the ribs together and keep moisture in when slow cooked.
- Seasonings. Salt and pepper were used to season my ribs to taste.
- Olive Oil. This is used to prepare the ribs as they will need some precooking to get them ready for the slow cooker.

Add the ribs to the skillet and brown the ribs on both sides until well browned. This should take about three to four minutes per side. Transfer the browned ribs to your slow cooker.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened and fragrant (two to three minutes). Transfer them to the slow cooker as well.
- In a small bowl, use a whisk to mix together the barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, dijon mustard, and smoked paprika. Pour this mixture over the pork spare ribs that are in the slow cooker, making sure to coat them evenly.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook the ribs on low for six to eight hours or until tender and can easily separate from the bone.
- Once the ribs are done, carefully remove them from the slow cooker and transfer them to a serving platter. You can glaze them with additional barbecue sauce before serving.

- 2 tsp Garlic - minced
- 1 cup Barbecue Sauce - your choice
- ¼ cup Honey
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 tsp Paprika
