Totchos are basically nachos made with tater tots instead of the usual tortilla chips.

Grocery store freezer section tater tots work best. Opt for tots that are crispy and golden brown when cooked.

- To make your nacho meat topping, use lean ground beef for less grease. Ground turkey or chicken can be substituted if you prefer a lighter option.
- Instead of make nacho meat for this recipe, simply use a can of chili.
- For extra crispy tater tots, bake your tots on a wire rack placed over your baking sheet. This allows the heat to circulate all around the tots.
- For Buffalo Chicken Totchos simply swap the ground beef for shredded buffalo chicken and drizzle with ranch or blue cheese dressing.
- To make Breakfast Totchos top your potatoes with scrambled eggs, crumbled bacon, and cheese for a breakfast twist.

How to make Sheet Pan ‘Totchos’ (tater tot nachos)
Prep Time : 10 minutes .
Bake Time: 25 minutes .
Servings: 8 .
- Prep. Prepare a rimmed baking sheet using parchment paper (easy clean up!). Preheat your oven to 425.
- Bake the Tots. Place your frozen tater tots in an single layer on your prepared baking sheet. Then bake the tots for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, carefully flipping them over after 10 minutes.
- Cook your meat. While your tots are baking in your oven you can prepare the meat. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook your ground beef as your normally would until fully browned (about eight to 10 minutes). Drain the grease from the pan and then stir in your seasonings. Cook for another three minutes stirring occasionally.
- Top the Tots. When your tater tots are crispy, carefully take them out of the oven and place the pan on a safe work surface. Evenly distribute your cooked meat over the tots and then sprinkle the cheese over the meat. Return the sheet pan to your oven and continue to bake until the cheese is bubbly and melted (three to five minutes).
- Finish making your Totchos. Add your remaining ingredients to your totchos and serve.
Expert Tip 👉 Consider using unusual topping such as shrimp, vegetables, or even tortilla chips.
How to store totchos.
Once yout totchos have fully cooled, they can be stored in an airtight container (it is best to add the toppings before serving rather than before storing). When properly stored, totchos should keep in your refrigerator for up to a few days. You can reheat them in your oven or air fryer.
