Boneless pork loin was used to make my dish. Feel free to use pork shoulder or pork butt rather than the leaner loin.
More helpful tips for you.
- A clean paper towel is used to blot off any moisture from the pork before adding it to a recipe. This helps to clear the way for the other ingredients to work with the pork as it slow cooks.
- A large crockpot slow cooker was used to make my pork. Depending on size of your slow cooker, you may need to adjust the ingredients to fit.
- Pork is done cooking when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F, as measured with a food thermometer.
- Shredding your pork can be easily done by using two forks. You can make this even easier to do by using a mixer to shred. When you shred your pork, it is best to not over-shred the meat as this can lead to drying it out.

How to Store BBQ Pulled Pork
Once your pork has fully cooled, it should be stored in an airtight container. When properly stored, this chicken should keep for a couple of days refrigerated or frozen for up to a few months.
