Pastry. Lightly dust a clean workspace with flour and then place your pastry dough on the workspace. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to about a quarter inch thick. Then cut the pastry sheet in half to make two pastry sheets.
Chocolate. In a microwave safe bowl or cup, melt your chocolate with the butter, sugar, and milk, stopping to stir every 30 seconds.
Coat. Use a pastry brush or the backside of a spoon to evenly spread the melted ingredients over one of the pastry sheets. Then place the remaining pastry sheet on top of the chocolate.
Preheat. Preheat your air fryer to 375.
Twist. Use a knife to cut the pastry into ten 1" wide strips. Then gently twist each strips two to three times. You can optionally brush the twists with an egg wash or an oil spray to customize the flaky pastry.
Air Fry. Carefully place a liner into your air fryer basket and then place the twists on top of the liner so that there is room between them for the air to circulate. Air fry for eight to 10 minutes or until golden brown, crispy, and puffed, flipping the pastries after five minutes.
Serve. You can brush your pastries with melted butter or dust them with powdered sugar before serving. any leftover melted chocolate can be used as a dip.
