Count out your cinnamon sticks and then break them into half inch pieces. Place the pieces into your grinder, blender, or mortar.
Grind your cinnamon sticks until smooth (about a minute, depending on your method).
Make adjustments as needed and break down any chunks.
Use a funnel to transfer your homemade ground spice into your prepared jar
Lastly, label the jar with the ground cinnamon name and the date it was made on.
