Tips for making the best Mississippi Pork.

Pork shoulder or Boston butt are ideal for this recipe. This is because they have more fat resulting in incredibly tender and juicy meat.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. I like to use a clean paper towel to blot off any moisture from the pork before adding it to a recipe. This helps to clear the way for the other ingredients to work with the pork as it slow cooks.
    2. A large crockpot was used to make my pork. Depending on size of your slow cooker, you may need to adjust the ingredients to fit.
    3. Dry ranch dressing is an important part of making this recipe so great. I have a recipe for Homemade Ranch Dressing here.
    4. Shredding your pork can be easily done by using two forks. You can make this even easier to do by using a mixer to shred.
    5. Not a fan of shredded pork? You can just break the slow cooked pork into chunks instead.
    6. This recipe works best when cooked on low for a longer time rather than on high for shorter time. Quicker cooking can make the pork dry as the juices do not have as much time to integrate with the meat.

How to store Mississippi Pork Roast

Once your pork has fully cooled, it should be stored in an airtight container. When properly stored, this chicken should keep for a couple of days refrigerated or frozen for up to a few months. I would store my frozen pork without the peppers and add new peppers while reheating.
