Ingredients needed to make homemade fajitas.
The ingredients are basic ingredients that you may already have on hand. Feel free to personalize your fajitas with additional seasonings and vegetables.
- Steak. Top sirloin was used to make my fajitas. Other good options include skirt, ribeye, or flank. Your steak should be sliced into small strips.
- Bell Peppers. Green and yellow with the seeds removed and cut into strips. Red can also be used.
- Onion. Yellow or white, also sliced thin.
- Seasonings. Fajita or seasonings of your choice.
- Olive Oil . A neutral oil can alternatively be used. This will be divided.
- Optional ingredients. Tortillas (flour works best as they are more flexible), peppers in adobo sauce, lime juice, cilantro, and sour cream for serving.

How to make homemade fajitas in an air fryer.
Prep Time: 15 minutes.
Air Fry Time: 25 minutes .

- Preheat your air fryer to 350. While it is heating, in a medium bowl, toss your sliced vegetables with half of the olive oil. You can add salt and pepper as desired and toss the ingredients to cover the vegetables.
- Place the tossed vegetables into your air fryer for six minutes. Carefully toss or stir the ingredients and air fry for an additional six minutes.
- Meanwhile, place the beef along with the remaining oil and seasonings in bowl and toss the beef until coated.
- When the vegetables are done air frying you can add the beef the air fryer basket and mix or toss the ingredients to mix.
- Air fry the ingredients for five minutes and then toss or stir again.
- Continue to air fry until the beef has cooked through (about five more minutes).
- Prepare your tortillas with the air fried fajitas and serve as desired.
Expert Tip👉 You can marinate the steak by placing it into a zip top bag with the oil and seasonings and refrigerating it before making this recipe.
