Tips for making the best Air Fryer Peanut Butter Cookies
When selecting a peanut butter, select a creamy peanut butter. While you can use a sugar free peanut butter, organic or natural peanut butter products do not always work well in a recipe like this one.

More helpful tips for you.
- Refrigerating the dough, for as little as 20 minutes, will help keep your peanut butter from spreading too much while they bake.
- I like to use a cookie scoop to scoop out the dough so that the cookies are all about the same size. This will help the cookies bake uniformly as well.
- When placing your cookies into the air fryer, leave plenty of room between them as they will spread and to also allow for the air to circulate around the cookies properly while they bake.
- Make the cookies in batches instead of overcrowding the basket for best results.
- Air fryer cookies tend to bake quicker than regular oven baked cookies. Check you cookies frequently for doneness.
- After turning off your air fryer, let the cookies sit in the basket for a few minutes before transferring them to a rack to cool. This will help the centers set.

- Place the cookies a few inches apart on the liner. (image 6)
- Air fry your cookies for seven to eight minutes. Then let the cookies sit on the liner for a few minutes to set.
Expert Tip 👉 The criss-cross markings actually help the cookie bake more evenly as well as helping the cookies maintain their shape during baking. Simply take a fork and press it into the cookie dough (horizontally and vertically) before baking.
How to store peanut butter cookies.
Once they have fully set, these cookies should be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week or frozen for longer. The dough however can be frozen for up to three months.
