How to make easy and cheesy Bisquick casserole.

    Prep Time: 10 minutes .
    Bake Time: 55 minutes .
    Servings: 8.
Serve: Serve this casserole with Sheet Pan Buffalo Ranch Potatoes and Homemade Ketchup on the side.
Note: My casserole was made in a 9" pie dish for more of a quiche style. This recipe should also work in a baking dish.

    1. Prepare. Preheat your oven to 350. Also, prep your baking or pie dish well for nonstick.
    2. Bacon. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the bacon until crisp. Then remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the bacon to a small stack of paper towels to drain.
    3. Onion. Remove all but a tablespoon of bacon grease from the skillet. Then place the skillet back on the the heat (medium) and sauté your onion until tender (about three minutes). Remove the onion from the heat and let it cool while your move on to the next step.
    4. Combine. In a large bowl, use a whisk to combine together the milk, baking mix, eggs, and seasonings. Once combined stir in the sautéd bacon and onion.
    5. Cheese. Evenly spread the ingredients from the last step to your prepared pie/baking dish. Then top the ingredients with the shredded cheese.
    6. Bake. Bake your casserole for 40-45 minutes, or until the center no longer jiggles when shaken. Then allow it to cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Tips for making the best Bisquick Casserole

Bisquick is the key ingredient that makes this recipe work. Make sure that your Bisquick is fresh and that you have used a whisk to break up any lumps before using it in this recipe.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. I mentioned that my casserole was made in a round pie dish. This recipe can also be made in a standard baking dish for a more classic casserole. However, if you use a 9x13" baking dish your casserole may not be as thick as mine.
    2. Add-ins can make this recipe even better. Vegetables, such as bell peppers or broccoli (sauteed), can work well. You can also use turkey sausage or hashbrowns instead of the bacon.
    3. As far as the cheese goes, you can use any kind of cheddar cheese (I like sharp) for the topping in this recipe. Other cheeses that work include mozzarella, a Mexican style blend, or pepper jack.
