What you need to make Creamy Seafood Dip
- Extra Small Shrimp. Your shrimp should be peeled, deveined, and with the tail off.
- Canned Lump Crab Meat Canned crab meat makes this an easy to make recipe.
- Cream Cheese. Use a full fat cream cheese that is softened to room temperature.
- Sour Cream Help make this creamy for dipping.
- Mayonnaise Use a full fat mayonnaise.
- Cheddar Cheese. Your cheddar cheese should be freshly shredded.
- Colby Jack Cheese. Also freshly shredded.
- Bell Pepper Chopped Fine.
- Green Onion. Chopped small. You can use an extra chopped green onion as a topping.
- Old Bay Seasoning Cajun Seasoning can alternatively be used.
- Lemon Zest. For a flavor balance.
How to Make Cheesy Seafood Dip

- Prep Time 5 minutes .
- Bake Time 25-30 minutes.
- Servings 6-8 .
- How to serve : Serve warm with crackers, chips, or vegetables for dipping.
- Notes: You will need a square baking dish to bake the dip in.
- Prepare. Prepare your baking dish for nonstick. Nonstick spray can work in this recipe. Also, preheat your oven to 400f.
- Seafood. Prepare your shrimp by breaking it up into smaller pieces and then placing the pieces on a small stack of paper towels to drain. Then use clean paper towels to squeeze the excess moisture from the crab.
- Combine. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until creamy. Then stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, pepper, green onion, and seasonings (Old Bay and Lemon Zest).
- Fold. Use a rubber spatula or similar item to fold in the drained seafood from the second step into the ingredients in the mixing bowl.
- Bake. Evenly spread the ingredients from the mixing bowl into your prepared baking dish. Then top the ingredients with the shredded Colby Jack Cheese. Bake the dip for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the dip is bubbling.
