Tips for making the best crockpot chili.

Lean or extra lean ground beef should be used in this recipe. This will help keep this recipe less greasy while still adding to the flavor and texture.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. Your ground beef will need to be browned before adding it to the slow cooker. You can use the method of your choice to brown your ground beef.
    2. Allow the cooked ground beef to drain before adding it to the slow cooker.
    3. You can easily prep this recipe ahead of time by browning your beef and chopping your onion and peppers up to a day in advance and refrigerating them.
    4. The convenience of making this recipe in a slow cooker means that you can cover and refrigerated it before reheating it in your slow cooker. I would let the slow cooker sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before heating it up however.
    5. You can serve this recipe up just like you would serve up any other kind of chili (in a bowl, with chips, or as desired).
    6. Can you use something other than ground beef to make this recipe? Yes, ground poultry such as chicken or turkey can be used however, cooking times may vary as a result.
