When selecting tortillas, select tortillas that are in good condition and are intact. Using thin corn tortillas can give you more authentic result.

- When spraying your tortillas with oil, spray them lightly to make crisp chips without the sogginess.
- When placing your chips into your air fryer basket, leave enough room around the chips to allow for the warm air to circulate. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to make this recipe in batches.
- Air frying time can vary depending on the thickness of your tortillas, your air fryer, and your desired level of crispiness.
- Do you have to use a corn or flour tortilla? No- you can use the tortillas of your choice including low carb, whole wheat or even spinach tortillas.
- Do you have to make these as nacho flavored chips? No- you can make these cool ranch style (buttermilk powder, ranch dressing mix, dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt) or plain with no seasonings.

How to Make Air Fryer Copycat Doritos.
Prep Time: 5 minutes .
Air Fry Time: 10 minutes .
Servings: 6 .
- In a small bowl, use a whisk to combined together your seasonings. Make adjustments as needed for your tastes. Then place the seasoning mix into a large zip top bag.
- On a clean and flat workspace, such as a large cutting board, slice your tortillas in half. Then slice half in half and each of these in half again so that you have eight triangles from each tortilla.
- Spray each of the triangles with your oil spray. Then lay out the first batch of triangles in the basket of your air fryer. The edges of the triangles can touch but, try not to overlap them.
- Air fry the triangles for three minutes. Then carefully flip the chips over and air fry for another two to three minutes or until somewhat crisp.
- Let the chips cool for for a minute and then transfer them to the zip top bag with the seasonings. Seal the bag and toss the chips in the seasonings to coat them.
- Remove the chips from the seasoning bag, shaking off any excess seasoning, and serve or store them.
Expert Tip👉 This recipe for homemade seasoned tortilla chips can be made in an oven. Place the triangles on a baking sheet and bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes or until crisp, flipping the triangles after the first five minutes.
How to store homemade nacho chips.
Once the chips have fully cooled, they can be stored in an airtight container or zip top bag. When properly stored, these chips should keep for about three to four days at room temperature. You can crispin these chips up by reheating them in an oven or air fryer at 300 for about three minutes.
