    • Condensed Creamy Soup. Such as cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, or a combination of soups.

    This is the perfect recipe for using up leftover turkey from the holidays. You can also make this recipe using a rotisserie chicken or precooked chicken or turkey .

    1. My poultry was cooked, cooled, and then shredded. Chopping or cutting yours into bite sized pieces should also work in this recipe.
    2. My pot pie was made in a 12" cast iron skillet. If you are using a smaller sized skillet, you can cut the ingredient quantities so that they will fit into your skillet.
    3. The mixed vegetables can be fresh, leftovers (such as peas and corn), canned, or frozen and thawed. What is important is that they should be small or cut into small pieces.
    4. Low Sodium condensed soup can also be used in this recipe.

    Prep Time: 10 minutes.
    Bake Time: 25-30 minutes .
    Servings: 4-6 .

    1. Prep. Preheat your oven to 425. If you have not done so, prepare your poultry as indicated. Prep your skillet for nonstick if needed.
    2. Layer. Evenly spread out the cooked chicken or turkey on the bottom of your skillet. Then top this with the vegetables, evenly spreading them out over your bottom layer.
    3. Soup. In a mixing bowl beat or whisk the soup to loosen them up. Then add the milk and seasonings and combine until blended. Pour this over the vegetables and use the backside of a spoon to evenly spread it over the vegetable layer.
    4. Biscuits. Separate the biscuits from one another and then place them on top of the soup layer. You can then brush them with melted butter for a softer topping or leave them as is to get a bit crisp while baking.
    5. Bake. Carefully transfer the skillet to your oven and bake 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden and cooked through.
    6. Cool. Your pot pie will be very warm when it is taken out of the oven. It is best to allow it to cool to room temperature before serving.

    Expert Tip 👉 Placing a sheet of foil or a lined baking sheet on the rack that is below the rack you are using to bake your pot pie on can save you a clean up hassle if any of the pot pie were to spill over.
