What you need to make oven roasted turkey.
- Turkey Breast. A medium (two pound) turkey breast was used in my recipe. Your turkey breast should not be frozen.
- Olive Oil. Adds flavor and moisture while allowing the skin to get crisp and brown.
- Dijon Mustard. I am partial to the grainier country style dijon mustard.
- Brown Sugar. Gives a nice flavor balance with a bit of caramelizing.
- Seasonings. Salt, Pepper, Garlic (granulated),coriander, oregano, and paprika.

Prep Time: 5 minutes .
Bake Time: 80 minutes.

Notes: I like a taller baking pan for this recipe so that it will easily hold the turkey breast when transferring in and out of the oven .
- Prepare. Preheat your oven to 350f and prep your baking pan for nonstick as desired. Then place the turkey breast into the pan.
- Marinade. In a medium bowl, use a whisk to combine together the remaining ingredients (oil, mustard, brown sugar, and seasonings).
- Coat. Use a pastry brush or similar item to evenly coat the turkey well with the marinade.
- Cover. Completely cover the turkey breast in the pan with foil that is secured around the edges of the pan.
- Roast. Place the turkey in the center of your oven and roast for 45 minutes. Then carefully remove the foil from the turkey and roast until browned and crisp on the outside (10-15 more minutes).
- Serve. Carefully remove the turkey breast from your oven and allow it to rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
Tips for making the best roasted turkey breast.
Drying the turkey skin with paper towels before seasoning helps achieve a crispy and golden-brown exterior during roasting. I like to use clean paper towels to pat the turkey skin to do this.
